Explore Emotions With Curiosity

We all face days where emotions arise that are uncomfortable or undesirable. What we do in those moments matters.

If your tendency is to shove them down or ignore them, you aren’t doing yourself any favors. Sure, it’s easy to think our future self will be able to deal with it, but is that the best option?

There are times when we genuinely cannot stop to process emotions and it is necessary to push pause for a bit. However, we shouldn’t ignore them forever.

They don’t just go away.

What if you prioritized your mental health and set aside a few minutes a day to explore your emotions with curiosity? You can do this anytime, but I personally like to do so either during journaling sessions or on walks (preferably outdoors). Another great options is on your commute. Many days mine is spent in silence, simply reflecting and listening with a curious mind.
